It’s common for people to take a self help approach, adding bits of what family, friends and the net have to say into the equation. On relationship difficulties, most people do pretty much the same – even bringing their electronic friends (people they’ve never met) into it.
Where the problems are too deeply embedded – as in the Guardian’s article – it’s long past time for a visit to those that can help. A pity commenting was closed. Also a pity that the Guardian failed to mention Relate who have the gold-standard in relationship counselling.
